Challenge 8x06: This Is Me!
I'll start off with a quick explain-y of my username. First, yes, I do actually enjoy watching the 2nd Highlander film, maybe I'm weird. Second, it came about as a result of a sort of in-joke with a college professor when I mentioned the movie during a discussion about something related to politics and the environment (I'm a poli-sci degree holder). Prof hadn't ever seen the 2nd movie and it took most of the year for him to finally get a chance... and then he watched the theatrical release instead of the director's cut. (Though, really, all-in-all, it doesn't make much difference, neither really fits well into the canon.) At some point, I needed to set up a screen name, and this is what stuck. XD
This is by no means exhaustive of my fandom (or general interests) history and it doesn't even start at the beginning. But I have to save some stuff for later. XD The sig tags are mostly in order-ish of fandoms/interests as they landed in my lap.
Technically Harvey Specter, Holtzmann, and Mike Modano don't count as superheros, so pretend those don't have 'Team MCU', same with MacGyver, but I would make the argument that anyone who can pick up road trash and turn it into a bicycle is a fucking superhero.
Anyway - I have fandoms from earlier than MacGyver, but he's kinda the kick-off for all the things. He is, in fact, how I got into hockey - which started with watching Wayne Gretzky be awesome all over the NHL, and lead to picking up Mike Modano and the Dallas Stars. The Stars are my guys right now (they keep doing this barely scraping into the playoffs thing that they need to turn into actually making the playoffs like they did in '99).
So the Star Trek stuff is next, though I picked up the original Trek back in the 80's because my dad was a fan and dragged us to all of the movies. Fun fact, I have seen all but 1 of the Trek films in the theater (I wrote about that here - it's before Beyond came out, but I saw that one in the theater too.) I've seen all of TOS, TNG and DS9, a lot of VOY, all of ENT, the first 2 seasons, for sure, of DISCO (i'll catch up eventually), and s1 of Picard (if Paramount wasn't overcharging for their streaming channel or aired these on TV, i'd see 'em faster).
Tossing in a couple of the strong ladies here - Wonder Woman and Holtzmann. The first WW movie is fantastic (the 2nd one we don't talk about) - though I have ironically used the Avengers font on my DC character sig tag =). And I like the 2016 Ghostbusters movie and think all of the 'fanboys' can go take a walk. That movie is fun!
Imma go a little out of order here - the last row is Harvey Specter from Suits and Luke Evans from a bunch of things, but Beauty and the Beast and Merlin are the things on the accepted fandoms list (and I've only seen the former). Harvey - not a superhero, but Suits was a big part of my fandom life for the 9 years it was on (even if it sort of went pfffft by the end). I love that asshole. XD Luke though - I dunno how this cheeky bastard sneaked in. Lie - I know. Someone RP's his Dracula from Dracula Untold in a game I'm in and then I stumbled around and found out he's a theater geek and a singer (he has a YouTube channel).
Now, for the fandom that ate my brain. I don't know how it did it, because it took me like 4 tries to get through Iron Man initially and I didn't want to watch any more Spider films for fear of watching Uncle Ben die for the 87th time (also, if you ever find yourself in a Spider-Man film, never EVER speak the words 'with great power, comes great responsibility', they are like a death knell and something will 100% happen to you shortly after you say them - just ask Uncle Ben). Heck, I wasn't even a Spider-Man fan, but damn you Tom Holland! Now, I have all but the most recent movies in my blu-ray collection, have seen more than half of the entire MCU in the theater (with the exceptions of Homecoming and Ant Man & the Wasp, I have an unbroken streak starting back with GotG2), and have watched the MCU in so many iterations, I still have to look up what release order they came in.
Obviously, these aren't all the fandoms I've ever been in b/c there's Highlander (points to username) and Dresden Files and Buffy and just about anything Hugh Jackman has ever done, and so many others - plus I had to stop at 10 sig tags. XD

Mod Note
10 sig tags (6 if 4 of them don't count, but there's enough words to make up for it)
All sigtags that you created for this Challenge can be used for extra pts in Challenge entries. :o) (That's why you could also add favorite animals for examples. :D)
